We’ve tried a number of other Chinese restaurants and takeaways around the Halifax area, but none compare... Its not as cheap as some, but you get the most delicious food, it’s certainly worth a bit extra! We usually get takeaway, but have also eaten in. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive, and food is cooked and ready in a very short time One note to anyone going though... they no longer take card payments as they had a never-ending stint of failures from the card machine.... So, make sure you take some cash!!! Our favourite is the deep-fried chicken in plum chilli sauce... you get a full chicken breast battered and sliced, with or without veg (I always ask without) and the sweet sauce all over The egg fried rice is lovely and no extra herbs or spices, just the egg We also get the chips (more to bulk out the meal a bit) and my wife loves the Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs They do deliver, but you get a discount off the price for picking up yourself and a free bag of Prawn Crackers! Always good-sized portions and we always save half for another day It’s so morish – a proper treat every once in a while, (usually when the kids aren’t at home!!!) Defo recommend
First time ive been in years. Couple of starters, crispy chilli beef, fried rice and chips. Was ready on time for collection, hot and tasty. Cash on collection but there's a cash point at the post office around the corner.

We went for a family birthday meal on bank holiday Monday. Not been here for years but were very impressed with the food. 14:95 for the 3 course early bird menu was great value. Everything was nice and hot and very tasty. One of the dishes was wrong but it was swapped straight away. The decor could do with an update though as it is a bit dated.
Our favourite Chinese restaurant for many years. A great place opposite to park your car. We love the mixed apoetizers, great prawn crackers and everything on the menu. We've been eating Chinese since 1960 all over Europe. This is one that has been consistent for quality and range ever since we first visited it. Well keep going as long as I can drive.
Best around. Brilliant Chinese food, everthing I've tried is lovely, the staff are brilliant, owners are a lovely couple. Never had any issues with them.
Nothing but amazing things to say about Golden Dragon. The staff are incredible attentive and friendly, portion sizes are great and good value. I would highly recommend dining in. A favourite spot and always repeat custom! They also take card payments.
OK I did a review a couple of years ago...not a good one. So here is my 2022 version. Just an amazing place, the food is delicious every time I visit. The best Chinese in the area. Food served fresh, plentiful and hot. I just think its an amazing turnaround as does everyone I bring here....in fact I'm off there now...
